Hawaii. The Big Island. P2. Kailua Kona

Here's

Kailua Kona

.
Locals often call the city simply Kona.

Kealakekua Bay

. There’s a monument in his honor. But we failed to find it.
We started exploring the island began with

Hapuna Beach

where we spent 2 lovely hours. It was several times nominated for the title of the best US beach. Its length is about 0.6 miles (1 km). The parking is free, there is a picnic area, a small shop where you can buy hot food and rent equipment for snorkeling.
This is the road to the beach:

There’s slight vegetation on the shore. And there’s a lot of greenery on the other side of the port. There’s lots of trees, flowers, shrubs, trees and coffee. Coffee is Kona Coffee. This Arabica has earned a reputation of one of the most expensive and sought-after coffees in the world.
We’re passing by our ship.
