Later, we drove along the green line in the direction of the city of 

Lahaina

 (according to the map of our route). The main historical attraction of the island are the streets of the Old Town of Lahaina that was once the capital of Hawaii.

There are a lot of observation points along the way - you can get there, take pictures, and admire beautiful views. This is an observation point for whale watching during certain seasons.

After Lahaina, we drove further along the coast to find a beach where we could spend a couple of hours. We are in Hawaii after all! We stopped on a hill where 

Kapalua 

Airport of the city of Lahaina is situated - it offered beautiful views.

We found the beach with beautiful clear water and almost without waves! It is called Napili Beach and is considered the best on Maui. I read about the beach when we returned.
I really liked it! You can see the island of Molokai on the opposite side of the beach.

Later, we went the 

Haleakala volcano

. The blue line leads to the volcano, and the yellow one leads back to the port (according to the map of our route). The road from Napili Beach to the top of the volcano took us 2.5 hours. The road goes into the clouds, it's winding, but not very difficult. As soon as you drive into the clouds, it immediately gets chilly, and the higher you get - the colder it gets. You begin to forget that you were basking in the sun and swimming in the warm ocean just 2 hours ago.
