We arrived in

Punta Arenas

.
This is how the

Strait of Magellan

looks.

The city is small. The tourists we meet there seemed to be people who came here as a stopover before traveling somewhere else. Everyone was practically dressed, given we were surrounded by nature.
We had just finished having our clothes checked. The travel company we chose carefully controlled the things we brought with us on our trip to the South Pole. Then we were given some instructions before trying on some rental clothes for size.  The next day, we departed for an intermediate camp in Antarctica.

That's all for today.
