If you believe the internet, 

Casablanca

is a "business center with skyscrapers, headquarters of major banks and different companies, the city of the avant-garde and new technologies, very similar to southern European cities with hurrying people, women with uncovered faces in miniskirts, high heels and sunglasses". Maybe. But I did not see anything like that. However, I only spent a day there, moreover, the rain had just passed so no one was wearing short garments or sunglasses.

Casablanca

Once, a bazaar buzzed at the gates of the ancient Medina. Traditions have been preserved - the bazaar is still here.

But modern Medina is not just a market. There is a school, hotels, and a telegraph.

Dishes stand like a pale fence on roofs of the citizens of 

Casablanca

However, the water supply line is in the street.

Therefore, the local residents still wash in the old-fashioned way.

But they sewed using modern sewing machines, not by hand! 

Markets are everywhere, at every step, round every corner of the narrow streets.

Casablanca is a port city, so there were a lot of cats.

Many of them were lucky and they managed to steal some fish from a stall of sellers.

Men are really modern, out-spoken and welcoming, happy to pose for the camera.

But women are still old-fashioned. Anyway, I didn't see any mini-skirts. Perhaps, as always, I was looking in the wrong place.
