and Universal Studios. The first one has The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the second, Universal Studios, is beyond the competition. In addition, the Despicable Me attraction was recently opened there, gathering a huge crowd of people want to visit it. To put it mildly, it’s very difficult to choose which park to visit. So, in that case, you can buy a combined ticket for both parks, which is what we did. First, as is custom, you must walk through
with its bright signs, then you get to the box offices. We started at the Islands of Adventure.
Port of Entry is the main street. All this is very atmospheric.
We went to the right. At first we saw The Cat in the Hat pavilion. It is geared more toward children. If I wasn't so excited to see Harry Potter world, I would have liked to stay and visit the pavilion.
Periodically, something rode above my head and disappeared with shrieks before I was bale to photograph the moment.
The previous zone is called Seuss Landing. There are absolutely no straight lines, can you see that? Even palm trees are curved. Below is the entrance to The Lost Continent.
This is Poseidon's Fury. There is some kind of underwater battle between ancient gods, where riders are in a trap and everything around them bursts. That's wasn't for me!
And here it is - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
This is Hogsmeade Village, with it’s shops and cafes!
Here is the Hogwarts Express!
And some Butter Beer!!!
It was really tasty!
Beer with ice crumbs, like smoothie, cost $4.55, the common one was $3.55, which I thought was much tastier. You can buy both non-alcoholic and alcoholic variants.
This is The Three Broomsticks, which is really just a restaurant for hungry visitors.
Ollivander's Fine Wands is a store where you can buy different wands: you can find the ones used by Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Lord Voldemort. Even I was mesmerized by this trick.
And here is something sitting in a cage . . . If you put your finger in it, it begins to move and clatter its teeth.
You will find absolutely everything here: magic cups, quidditch equipment, clothes! And soo many people!
Brooms are tied, but ready to fight at any moment.
There is an owl post service. You can send a letter to somebody.
And here's the culmination - Hogwarts Castle! Here you will find the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride. It’s terrible…
At this point, we will pause. In the next part, you can read about the ride and the other attractions in the park (Islands of Adventure. Orlando. P.2).
