International company, joined the fleet in 2016. This lady offers an abundance of features sure to satisfy everyone onboard. Usually, some passengers enjoy being active during the trip, so in this article, we want to share more about the different activities onboard
Seaplex:
This is one of the largest onboard innovations on RC’s Quantum ships. It is a giant floating sports complex that has a varied program for guests. In the central arena, you can play basketball, roller-skate or ride bumper cars or watch the competitions. If you want more of an adrenaline kick, you can learn to perform aloft in circus school. There are also “SeaPods” located on the perimeter. These small rooms allow guests to spend time with friends and family while playing Xbox or a game of foosball. Rock Climbing Wall:
If you are willing to conquer peaks, you can take your first steps on the Royal Caribbean’s 30-foot high, outdoor rock climbing wall installation. It is usually open for 2 hours in the morning and afternoon. Photo by: Michael Coghlan/Flickr/CC BY-SA 2.0
that requires a reservation before your departure date. This outdoor highlight can reach heights of up to 300 feet (90 meters) above sea level, offering a stunning 360-degree view of the ocean. This glass capsule can be found open between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The capsule is rotated from left to right when raised in the air. It can carry 15 people at a time, although it can be booked for private events as well. Photo by: Michael Coghlan/Flickr/CC BY-SA 2.0
RipCord by iFLY:
This is the first at-sea-skydiving simulator presented on all Quantum-class ships. The simulator takes the form of a vertical wind tunnel. Although this activity is complimentary, you will still need to reserve a spot online, before the cruise. Moreover, there are some weight and height restrictions. After checking in, you will be given instructions and necessary equipment. The preparation process takes about 40 minutes, while the “skydive” itself lasts about 1 minute. It may seem short, but it is more than enough time to feel the effects of the experience fully. Photo by: Robert & Pat Rogers/Flickr/CC BY 2.0
FlowRider:
This surf simulator is a free outdoor activity that, again, requires a reservation. This amusement has some height restrictions and different opening times when the ship is at sea or docked. Safety demonstrations and instruction are available, though there is a fee for those who want lessons or a private session. Photo by: Robert & Pat Rogers/Flickr/CC BY 2.0
